Abstract

An assistant program to design nonlinear image processing filters, especially the rank-order filter family, is developed. This program provides a simple way to determine the filter parameters with trial and error. It displays schematic models of pixels. One can easily make models of structures of pixel values and try to apply filters with parameters as one likes. An example of the designing procedure is shown.
