Japanilainen tutkija tutustui Lempäälään

Japanilainen tekniikan tohtori, tutkija Akira Asano vieraili Lempäälässä tiistaina 14.2. Lempääläisen Tuula Petäkoski-Hultin johdattamana vieras sai tutstua niin päiväkotilapsiin, vanhustenhuoltoon kuin kunnan elinkeinoelämään. Lempäälän kunnan toimia esittelivät myös ylilääkäri Jorma Kivekäs ja elinkeinoasiamies Markku Sipilä.

Kymmenen kuukautta Tampereella VTT:n tietotekniikkayksikössä työskennellyt Asano yllätti hyvällä suomenkielellään; esimerkiksi Moision päiväkodissa hän esitteli kotimaataan tarvitsematta juurikaan tulkin apua. Akira Asano kertoi olevansa lähtöisin Osakasta, läheltä Koben maanjäristyksestä kärsinyttä kaupunkia. Että lapset eivät olisi jääneet aivan ilman japaninkieltä, vierailija kertoi japaniksi mielipiteensä Suomestä:
— Suomi on kaunis maa.

Japanese researcher visited Lempäälä

Akira Asano, Japanese researcher and Ph. D. in Engineering, visited Lempäälä on Tuesday, Feb. 14. According to the guidance of Tuula Petäkoski-Hult¹⁾, a resident of Lempäälä, he visited a kindergarden, an old people's home, and the town office. Jorma Kivekäs, upper grade medical doctor, and Markku Sipilä, head of the department of commerce, lectured on the administration of the county of Lempäälä.

Asano, who had been a guest researcher of VTT Information Technology section in Tampere for 10 months, spoke Finnish well; For example, he explained his homeland at Moisio kindergarten without a translator. Asano said that he was from Osaka near Kobe, which had been hit by the big earthquake. He also gave his impression on Finland in Japanese, since the children had usually no opportunity of hearing Japanese language: &mdash "Finland is a beautiful country."
